The leaf and the Butterfly | A poem by Imran

“The Leaf and the Butterfly” is a quiet, symbolic story about love that once felt enough… until it wasn’t. It tells the story of a bond built in simplicity of shelter, care, and presence where one gave everything, and the other found comfort in it. But time changes everything. As one grows, transforms, and discovers a new world, the place they once called home begins to feel smaller… and what once meant everything slowly becomes something left behind. This piece reflects the bittersweet truth of love that sometimes, even the purest connections don’t last, not because they weren’t real… but because people grow in different directions. Some stay. Some fly. And some are left holding memories. If this story touched you, listen closely you might find a part of your own story in it. 🖋️ Written by Imran 📩 Contact: syed16imran@gmail.com 📷 Instagram: @imransjournal Keywords: sad love story, emotional poetry, symbolic poem, butterfly metaphor, lost love, heartbreak poem, deep feelings, poetic storytelling, transformation, moving on Copyright Notice: All poems, lyrics, music, visuals, and audio on this channel are original works created for Imran’s Poetry.
