Building Equitable Home Buyout Programs, from Mississippi to Texas | CEER Webinar Recording

CEER hosted a webinar exploring how communities can advocate for equity in the disaster recovery and mitigation process. We discussed how community members are pushing for a voluntary buyout program in Mississippi to center residents’ needs, and uplift natural solutions by creating a “blue-green buffer” to reduce flood risks for the community and restore native habitats. We were pleased to have experts in the fields of disaster recovery, housing justice, and nature based solutions join us for this webinar.
