Matthew 27 (WEB) | Truly the Son of God | Bible Song “Truly this was the Son of God.” Matthew 27 takes us through the trial, crucifixion, death, and burial of Jesus Christ. The chapter begins with Jesus being delivered to Pontius Pilate. Judas, filled with remorse after betraying innocent blood, returns the thirty pieces of silver. Jesus stands before Pilate while the crowd chooses Barabbas and cries out for Jesus to be crucified. The soldiers mock Him, place a crown of thorns on His head, and lead Him toward Golgotha. There, Jesus is crucified. Darkness comes over the land, and Jesus cries out: “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Jesus cries again with a loud voice and yields up His spirit. At that moment, the veil of the temple is torn in two from top to bottom, the earth shakes, and the rocks are split. Seeing what had happened, the centurion and those with him declare: “Truly this was the Son of God.” As evening comes, Joseph of Arimathea takes the body of Jesus, wraps it in clean linen, and lays it in a new tomb cut out of the rock. A great stone is rolled across the entrance. The stone is sealed. The guards remain. But the story is not over. 🎵 Scripture: Matthew 27 📖 Translation: World English Bible (WEB) 🎶 Series: Matthew – All Chapters in Order May these sung Scriptures help you slow down, reflect on God’s Word, and rest in His presence. *In You I Rest – Singing the Scriptures* #Matthew27 #TrulyTheSonOfGod #Crucifixion #BibleSong #ChristianWorship #JesusChrist #SingingTheScriptures #ScriptureSong #InYouIRest One chapter.
