AJS-37 Viggen Scrapes Its Tail on Landing, Sparks Across the Runway｜Swedish Air Force 100th Airshow

Filmed on August 21, 2026, at Flygdagarna 2026, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Swedish Air Force. During its landing upon arrival at the event, the AJS-37 Viggen had a slightly high nose-up attitude, causing its tail to lightly strike the runway. Our camera happened to capture the moment when sparks flew from the tail. Fortunately, after inspection, the Viggen was found to have no issues affecting its airworthiness and continued to take part in the flying displays over the following days. Thank you for watching!
