Buses in College Green | October 2026

A video showing buses in College Green (Dublin city centre), recorded in October 2026. College Green is located in Dublin city centre, on the southside of River Liffey. It is accessed from three different directions. To the north it leads into Westmoreland Street, which leads to the quays and O'Connell Bridge [   • O'Connell Bridge Buses | May 2025  ]. To the south it leads to Grafton Street and Nassau Street. And to the west it leads towards Dame Street and Christchurch [   • Buses in 'Dublinia' [Christchurch] | Janua...  ]. The eastern edge is bounded by Trinity College (hence the name College Green), and the northern side is bounded by the Bank of Ireland building which was once the Irish parliament building. Due to its location in the city centre, it is very well served by a number of bus routes. Two of the current Bus Connects spines pass through on the north / south axis - the E-Spine and F-Spine. This is also served by buses heading to the south-eastern part of the city, though only some of those routes pass through here heading north. The routes that don't go via Nassau Street and Pearse Street. The route Dame Street is used by routes heading to the south-west of the city. It is also used by a number of cross city routes. All of the city routes that pass through are operated by Dublin Bus. Former route 123 also passed through College Green, but when Bus Connects transformed it into route 73, and operation of it passed to Go-Ahead Ireland, it was rerouted to serve the quays instead. Aircoach route 700 also uses the north / south axis, as do the trams of the Luas Green Line. Finally, due to its historic nature and location, many tour buses pass through College Green.
