The Unbelievable Story Beyond Gangnam Style

THE UNBELIEVABLE STORY BEYOND GANGNAM STYLE. How did a song from South Korea take over the world and change the music industry and global pop culture forever? This two-part documentary explores the story of PSY, the worldwide phenomenon that was Gangnam Style, and the rise of the Korean Wave aka Hallyu, that brought South Korean music, entertainment, and culture to audiences around the globe. For the past 2 years, I’ve been researching, filming, editing, and producing this documentary entirely on my own. The original soundtrack and remixes were produced by the artist NUBEEBEET. This is Part 2/2: Here we dive deeper into PSY’s journey, from the highs and lows of his early career to his unprecedented rise to global star with Gangnam Style. We explore the song’s cultural impact, its influence on the music industry, and the role it played in bringing Korean pop culture to the world’s attention. This is a story that is far more complex, fascinating, and meaningful than one viral hit. NO AI WAS USED IN THE CREATION OF THIS FILM. Thank you for watching and supporting my work.
