Getting the Correct Lead - Part 1 (Groundwork, walk & trot preparation)

Getting the correct lead is not a lead issue; it's a balance issue. In order for horses to pick up the correct lead, they need to be able to balance their shoulders (not let them fall in or out), rotate the poll joint, and step underneath themselves with their inside, hind leg. We start this progression in the groundwork and retain it through the gaits until we reach the canter.
