Getting the Correct Lead - Part 2 (Cantering both directions)

Getting the correct lead is not a lead issue; it's a balance issue. In order for horses to pick up the correct lead, they need to be able to balance their shoulders (not let the shoulder fall in or out), rotate the poll joint, and step underneath themselves with their inside, hind leg. We start this progression in the groundwork and retain it through the gaits until we reach the canter.
