Burger King Has NEVER Opened in These Countries

Where has Burger King never opened, and what evidence would actually prove it? Explore 193 countries through an animated map of operating markets, departures, disputed records and surprising restaurant history. From Iceland's 2008 departure to Pakistan's documented 2013 opening, airport counters and a military trailer in Kyrgyzstan, this journey follows the evidence behind the missing burgers. Australia's Hungry Jack's adds a different-name twist. Coverage: 193 UN member states across nine geographic regions. Restaurant counts use RBI's December 31, 2025 table; separately dated historical records and later developments are identified along the route. Research checked October 21, 2026. The baseline records 110 countries with restaurants, two explicit zero-count entries and 81 unresolved results. Missing rows are not zeros. The accepted evidence does not establish a verified lifetime NEVER list. Licensed military and airport locations count as restaurant history; a trademark or supermarket product alone does not. Thumbnail records: United States — present in the 2025 table; Iceland — departure in 2008; Pakistan — zero in the 2025 table. Pakistan also has a documented 2013 opening and an undated directory listing, so its live status remains unresolved. These are three different histories, not three NEVER cases. Cartoon faces illustrate the stories, not national public opinion. Subscribe for more animated maps and surprising geography stories.
