The Gaelic harp or clarsach. Lecture at the University of St Andrews by Simon Chadwick

This lecture was delivered on Thursday 5th October 2017 as part of the MU2002 undergraduate course in Scottish Music at the University of ST Andrews in Scotland. Simon Chadwick speaks on the history of the harp in Scotland, and the two parallel revivals, the gut-strung lever harp and the wire-strung Gaelic harp. Audio recordings are played to illustrate the sound and style of different revival players from the 1920s through to recent years.
