The Descent (2005) Spoiler Review | Reel & Uncut Movie Reviews | EP19

Full spoiler review of The Descent (2005). Dylan, Scott, and Russell's comedy podcast breakdown gets heated fast, especially once the War of the Worlds walkout scores come out. The guys can't agree on much this episode. Russell hates Juno as a character and thinks she had it coming. Dylan argues she's more nuanced than that, and that Sarah crossed a line by killing her. Everyone agrees the cave lighting makes zero sense, and the creature lore has some real holes in it (how are blind cave dwellers such good hunters up top?). Then there's the ending: Russell liked it, Dylan absolutely did not, and once they find out the UK cut ends completely differently than the US version, the whole conversation gets derailed. Follow the show and tell us in the comments where YOU'D put it on the War of the Worlds scale.
