A turtle in the rice field. First time seeing one here. Grilled rice balls in the morning, and grilled eel. Recycling day, and the kitchen at the end of it. --- Today's meal Grilled rice balls (yaki-onigiri) Mix into warm rice: dried bonito flakes, shio-kombu (salted kelp), cheese, and a little sesame oil. Shape into triangles. Grill in a dry pan until the outside is crisp and lightly browned on both sides. --- About this channel A care worker on night shifts. We both work, and weekdays I keep the house. A father of three daughters, in a rice-field town in Aichi, Japan. The kids stay off camera. We barely speak.
