This is the toughest map in the entire game, evidently. Similar to vanilla, this chapter’s objectives force us to seize 6 spots simultaneously in order to unlock the throne room for the final battle. Each spot is protected by a boss and their minions. There are also enemies from at the back of our starting area charging right towards us from turn 1, and their numbers can increase up to six per turn. You can’t block spawn them, as they appear from unreachable tiles. Another crucial detail is that every enemy in this map can’t be capture baited, which significantly requires more combat capability.
Starting from turn 1, there are some enemies that must be dealt with immediately as they can kill our units from any distance. The first ones are those with siege magic: 3 summoners (Heddwyn’s clones, aka the boss of the warp forest chapter), Arthur, Tinni, Lana. Lana is notorious as she possesses a light magic that can delete anyone, including Leif. There’s also Fee, who can move 20 tiles per turn as a mounted unit. Their close proximity means that there’s no where to hide from them. The 3 summoners can be taken down easily, although unreliably. One of them has Silence, which comes in handy later. Tiki is easy, as she only has siege weapon; even base Leif can capture her at ease. The rest of them are located further back, making it impossible to attack them directly. I decide to use almost all my status staff reserves at them. Lana is berserked because she has Nosferatu, which can help keep their numbers low enough. Arthur is slept, and Tinni is sniped by IronMaiden!Glade because Tinni has the lowest avoid and bulk among those 3. Fee is berserked, so that the rest of Isaachian army will try to attack her & fail, stalling them down there instead of charging right towards us. However, for her not to assault us, she must be surrounded by enough red units, because berserked units cannot move past their ally. You can stall Seliph’s army by berserking Altena instead, but then Fee must need additional effort to be neutralised. Moreover, several Isaachians in the front line must not have high move, as they can reach my frail staffbots early.
It's time to tackle on the remaining bosses. After messing around, I came up with quite a strategy. I’m going to employ Theo’s help by berserking him, while my strongest units go to the right just to deal with those bosses’ lackeys. I want Theo to reach Limstella and maybe Klaus. He’d use Dainslaif to sleep them if he has the chance. In order to do so, I need to neutralise the Arden morph with magic tomes, as his Upheaval can ORKO Theo. Silence is the best option. Since he has the tendency to trade a sword, come back to guard the door, I activate him once Theo switches to Dainslaif to sleep the guy for good. The rest of Ardens aren’t dangerous, because they have 0 base strength and physical weapons; as long as nobody aggresses them, they won’t do anything harmful. In LTC’s perspective, Theo needs to be manipulated to move up. Thus Karin is required to open the door to Limstella, so that a bunch of Jemmie’s clones charge at Theo. As he has tendency to sleep those clones, I need to subsequently kill them in the next turn, so that Theo will switch to a more dangerous target. Once he reaches Limstella, he would sleep her and maybe reach Klaus’ area if they’re within range. It depends on how far Jemmie’s clone retreat. In this particular run, he neutralises both Limstella & Ashnard before perish, which makes him the MVP of this map. There are a few hurdles making this strategy unreliable: (1) I want all three kids to be deleted within one turn, and the sword one can have high enough speed not to get quadrupled by Theo; (2) Limstella may choose to destroy Theo, and she has high chance of doing so. Since she has healing staff, and FE5’s AI always prefers healing instead of securing kills, I need to manipulate several enemies to have low enough HP. I don’t know the threshold, but they need to be quite low; I even go as far as rigging Blizzard!Ced’s crit against one random swordsmaster just to manip Limstella; (3) Ashnard can harass Theo, and due to Shadow Sword halving damage, the AI will treat Ashnard as if they can only do 0 damage against him, thus making him immune to berserked allies. Luckily, there’s a chance that Ashnard being stupid enough to attack Dainslaif!Theo at close range and get slept. I’m still unsure how to do that, but during a test clear, I need to spawn one Zeed’s clone to make this strat possible. It’s quite reliable to spawn one by blasting 3 kids, 1 Jemmie and 1 enemy in the right side, releasing Tiki + 1 Heddwyn clone; with 7 enemies missing, Isaachian force cannot spawn enough, forcing Ashnard’s spot to spawn one.
