TOLEDO - 3D Timelapse (No AI imagery)

Toledo sits on a rock with a river wrapped around three sides. Romans, Goths, Moors and the kings of Castile all made it their capital. Watch the whole story, from a Celtic hill town to the city of three faiths, El Greco, the siege of the Alcázar and the Toledo of today, as a 3D timelapse. 0:00 The rock in the river 0:36 Rome: Toletum 0:48 The Roman circus 1:20 The Goths 1:30 Capital of the Visigoths 2:03 711: Tulaytula 2:27 The caliph's siege 2:48 The Taifa of Toledo 3:14 1085: Alfonso VI 3:33 The translators 3:49 The cathedral 4:21 1391 4:43 San Juan de los Reyes 4:53 1492: the expulsion 5:13 The Comuneros 5:19 Charles V's Alcázar 5:36 The court leaves for Madrid 5:47 El Greco 6:04 The quiet centuries 6:19 The Alcázar burns, three times 6:50 The railway 7:22 1936: the siege of the Alcázar 7:46 Rebuilt 7:59 The Polígono 8:17 UNESCO 8:42 Toledo today 8:58 Then and now 9:10 The whole story in 20 seconds Pictures: Wikimedia Commons, public domain, except א (Aleph) (CC BY-SA 2.5), Daniel Virgili (CC BY-SA 4.0), Valadrem, Heralder (CC BY-SA 3.0), Ssolbergj (CC BY 3.0), Ignaciogavira / HansenBCN after SanchoPanzaXXI (CC BY-SA 3.0), SanchoPanzaXXI (CC BY-SA 4.0), Leo Wehrli / ETH-Bibliothek Zürich (CC BY-SA 4.0); Toledo 1566 view: Rijksmuseum (CC0).
