He Turned a Game of Catch Into Organ Donation Law | David Galbenski

David Galbenski built a legal staffing company out of his parents' basement with $2,000. Then life turned. He went into end-stage liver disease from a rare autoimmune condition, and the only reason he's here today is his brother-in-law Mark, who gave him part of his own liver. Dave didn't just say thank you and move on. He and his wife built the Living Liver Foundation to support transplant families and living donors, and used baseball, having a catch, as the picture for what a donor gives a recipient. From there, they passed three separate bills in Michigan protecting living donors from losing income, insurance, or their jobs.
