The Only Sin Jesus Said Will Never Be Forgiven (And Why)

What is the unforgivable sin in the Bible? Jesus said blasphemy against the Holy Spirit can't be forgiven (Mark 3:29). But what does that actually mean, and what about the kings, the adulterer, the denier and the persecutor who still met God's mercy? In this 25-minute Bible study we look at seven people the world had written off: King Ahab, King Manasseh, Emperor Nebuchadnezzar, Gomer (the wife of Hosea), King David, Peter, and Saul, who became the apostle Paul. Then we take Jesus' hardest sentence head on, using the Gospels of Matthew and Mark. If you have ever been afraid you went too far for God, this video is for you. ⏱ CHAPTERS 00:00 Intro: Ahab tears his robe 03:28 Ahab: mercy that delays a sentence 05:26 King Manasseh: the worst king of Judah 08:26 Nebuchadnezzar: the emperor in the grass 10:07 Three men, one posture 10:30 Gomer and Hosea: a love that buys her back 12:09 King David: forgiven, and still paying 14:08 Peter: the denial and the fire on the beach 15:37 Mark 3:29: the sin Jesus said can't be forgiven 17:22 Stephen and Saul: the man who held the coats 18:42 Saul on the road to Damascus 20:48 Paul: "I am the worst of sinners" 21:51 John Newton: from slave ships to "Amazing Grace" 23:06 Seven people, three things to carry with you 📖 SCRIPTURE IN THIS VIDEO 1 Kings 21 and 22 (Ahab) | 2 Kings 21 and 2 Chronicles 33 (Manasseh) | Daniel 4 (Nebuchadnezzar) | Hosea 1 to 3 (Gomer) | 2 Samuel 11 and 12, Psalm 51 (David) | Luke 22 and John 21 (Peter) | Matthew 12:31-32 and Mark 3:28-30 (the unforgivable sin) | Acts 7 to 9 (Stephen, Saul and Ananias) | 1 Timothy 1:13-16 (Paul) Other sources mentioned: Josephus, Eusebius, Augustine and the Dead Sea Scrolls. 💬 QUESTION FOR YOU Which of these seven did you least expect to see shown mercy?
