It’s on the cell cycle diagram, but what exactly is the cell doing during G0? Why is the G0 phase important? You’ll often see it called a “resting” phase, but G0 cells can still stay busy with their normal cellular activities. Some cells are in G0 temporarily, and can re-enter the cell cycle, while other cells will never leave G0. In this video, we’ll address a few key questions about G0, including: 00:00 Intro 00:12 What is G0 in the cell cycle? 00:52 When is G0 reversible? Can cells re-enter the cell cycle? 01:59 When is G0 permanent? 03:15 How do cancer cells exploit G0? #cellcycleG0 #G0phase #G0stage #Gzero #restingphase Related Videos: Cyclins and CDKs:    • Move it Along! Cyclins, CDKs and the Cell ...   Shrinking Chromosomes - Telomeres and the End Replication Problem:    • Shrinking Chromosomes: Telomeres and the E...   New videos are always on the way - subscribe so you don't miss any of my biology tips :) Connect with me!
