1188 - West Midlands Metro: Trams between Town Hall & Five Ways on Monday 12th October 2026

Welcome to Podbaba Transport Video 1188. On Monday 12th October 2026, we walked between Birmingham Town Hall and Five Ways tunnel to film some of the trams on the West Midlands Metro network on a very damp day. Trams that we filmed in service were: CAF Urbos 3: 17 19 24 36 37 CAF Urbos 100: 38 43 47 48AD 50AD 58AD There were other trams in service but "rain stopped play". We also filmed our tram, in both directions, crossing Tipton Junction where, before very long, trams will diverge from the main line to run along the Black Country Valley branch to Dudley and, eventually, Merry Hill and Brierley Hill. Along Broad Street, we filmed the new Wright Streetdeck Electroliners on service X8 as well as a couple of allover advert buses.
