MR.DEMETER live @ Pasture Birmingham | Private School Amapiano x Afrobeats x Melodic Afro House

Out of the Box: a series of mixes for everything outside my core sound of Afro, Minimal Tech and Tech House. This set is a look into one of the many directions we take things during my residency at Pasture, Birmingham. While House is the backbone of my nights here, this recording captures the deeper, more soulful side of the spectrum. I wanted to showcase how we use Private School Amapiano and Jazzy Afrobeats to set the tone early on, focusing on the groove and the natural energy of the room before things step up. Pasture gives me the freedom to really play with the format—moving from percussive, Afro-influenced rhythms to peak-time House, always keeping it locked to the atmosphere of the night. A massive thanks to the management and the whole Pasture team for the trust and for letting me carve out a unique sound in the city.
