On September 29, 2026, Curtis Wilkie Beasley was executed by lethal injection at Florida State Prison. He was 77, and he was the 16th person Florida has executed this year. In 1995, Carolyn Monfort gave him a place to stay when he had nowhere else to go. Three days after she was last seen alive, her daughter found her on the laundry room floor of her home in Dundee, Florida. For 28 years, Beasley insisted he didn't do it.
