Sometimes adventures take months of planning and research. A lot of the time this is just busy anxious work to distract from all the things that might possibly go wrong. There are very few situations that a solution cannot be figured out within the space of an hour. With this in mind I think the most important thing is to just go for these things.
When a sense of adventure is set as GO by default, then it becomes a lot easier to find solutions to the challenges at hand. Where will I go? Where will I sleep? What will I eat? Simple questions that we overcome every single day, just this time it takes a little bit more time to find the answers. Thankfully besides enjoying the journey this is the only real thing to focus on.
I had a brief window of one night in Hong Kong free to myself. I threw my tent and sleeping bag into my suitcase and my preparation was complete.
Sometimes adventures are grand missions across countries, challenging terrain, and changing landscapes. Other times they are a nice little jaunt up and down a hill to the end of the beach.
