#housedesign #concretehouse #tinyhouse #architecture Bawada Residence by TOOP architectuur is a 327-square-meter home located in the rural village of Damme, Belgium, designed to blend seamlessly with its historical and natural surroundings. Positioned on the site of the former Fort Damme, the house features a modest volume with a traditional pitched roof and lime-washed brick, complemented by a subtle underground level that maximizes privacy and garden space. Using in-situ poured concrete and large light wells, the lower floor feels bright and connected, while the open, light-filled upper floor offers serene views of the surrounding polder landscape. The design balances tradition and modernity, creating a home that feels both grounded and thoughtfully integrated into its environment.
