MARK'S NOTCAST Ep 496 : Morrissey's "Ringleader Of The Tormentors" 2006-2008. 31 August 2026.

Released in 2006, Morrissey's ninth solo album was another UK hit - #1 - riding the wave of "You Are The Quarry", with four singles, numerous B-sides, two UK tours, and a new writing partner in the mix. With a thicker, more basic sound than some of his albums, it's a record that was almost perfect (a different sequence and adding a couple of B-sides would have strengthened the record), and some interesting lyrical explorations of identity and adulthood. I go into the album, B-sides, and the 2008 "Greatest Hits" album. 01 September 2026.
