Rain on the window, a plate of napolitan just out of the kitchen, and nowhere you need to be. "Kissaten" (純喫茶) are the old-fashioned Japanese coffee houses of the Showa era, at their best in the 1970s — velvet seats, siphon coffee, ketchup spaghetti napolitan, and no one rushing you. You may never have been to Japan. Somehow, this place still feels like somewhere you have been before. This is the same little shop on a narrow street in Tokyo, on a grey, rainy autumn morning. The street is shining, the siphons are warm, and the shop cat has found the driest seat. Three hours of quiet piano, acoustic guitar and soft saxophone, for as long as the rain lasts. Perfect for: • Studying, working, or reading • Rainy days at home • Falling asleep All music is original and created for Tokyo Kissaten. Stay a little longer. The rain can wait outside. 🎵 Tracklist 0:00:00 Raindrops on the Glass 0:03:26 An Old Song for a Rainy Day 0:06:47 Grey Morning Warm Cup 0:10:07 Umbrella by the Door 0:13:32 Napolitan for Lunch 0:16:54 Coffee Jelly and Rain 0:20:12 Toast and a Boiled Egg 0:23:33 Waiting Out the Shower 0:26:56 The Street Is Shining 0:30:17 Wet Pavement Soft Keys 0:33:39 Bossa for a Rainy Tokyo 0:37:00 Steam on the Window 0:40:22 Nobody Needs to Leave Yet 0:43:46 Taxi Lights in the Rain 0:47:11 One More Refill 0:50:31 Drizzle and Vibraphone 0:53:52 The Rain Can Wait Outside 0:57:12 Showa Rain Ballad
