Mana Mei ✧ Movement Before Words Held By Earth × Pelion Retreat Centre We're honoured to share this special collaboration with Mana Mei, founder of Mana Movement, filmed at the beautiful Aloni Theatre in Pelion, Greece. For Mana, movement is more than choreography. It is a universal language that existed before words, inviting us to connect with ourselves, each other, and the natural world through breath, rhythm, presence, and the wisdom of the body. Accompanied by the music of Azu Tiwaline, this short film explores movement as a response to sound, space, and energy. Rather than presenting movement as performance, it offers movement as a practice of listening, an invitation to become grounded and present, reconnect with ourselves, and move in harmony with the rhythms of the body and the natural world. As Held By Earth continues to evolve, one of its intentions is to introduce and celebrate artists, musicians, movement practitioners, and facilitators whose work reflects the spirit of the project: sound, nature, embodiment, presence, and meaningful connection. As Mana beautifully says: "There is a language that connects everyone around the world. It is our original native tongue, and that language is movement."
