This Ant Walked Right Over The Queen... Weekly Ant Update

Hey guys, welcome back! 🐜 In this week's ant update, my Messor barbarus colony is eating and growing like crazy, but the egg pile looks smaller as autumn gets colder. I also finally explain the huge ant everyone asked about: it's the biggest ant in the whole colony, almost as big as the queen, with a giant head. In the Lasius niger colony, I found my first worker in the water tube, helped them carry mealworm parts into the nest, showed you the blue sugar water trick to track feeding, and caught a worker walking right over the queen. Let me know in the comments: major worker or something else? 👇 Thanks for watching, see you in the next one, bye! #antkeeping #ants #antcolony #antfarm #formicarium #antkeeper #antcolonytour #insectsofyoutube #myrmecology #queenant #antlife #antsofyoutube #insectlovers #macro #macrophotography
