Friday Morning Ministry Moment 10/9/2026

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which is near and dear to my heart. I worked in this field with perpetrators for 2.5 years and learned so much during that time. I have had clients and family members who experienced domestic violence, which took things to a heightened level for me. As I reflect on my life, I too am a domestic violence survivor from a relationship that was fueled by emotional and mental abuse. Roughly 1 in 3 women (34% to 35.6%) and 1 in 4 men (17% to 28.5%). Yes, men experience domestic violence too. Many men are embarrassed to report, but abuse is abuse.
