Billie Holiday - Deep Song & There Is No Greater Love (Alternate Takes)

These pair of recordings comes from Lady Day's only 1947 recording session (and also the last before her arrest for narcotics). "Deep Song" considered by Lady to be one of her favorite recordings is an incomplete take. Billie switches the words around in one of the verses and there is dialogue included. "There is No Greater Love" is a wonderful alternate, Lady Day is more demure on this take. The orchestra sounds wonderful as well. I hope you all enjoy!
