We had been looking forward to this flight for days. Just two days before departure, my friend managed to book one of Lufthansa's highly sought-after First Class awards on the Airbus A380. We immediately started planning what we hoped would be one of the first in-depth reviews of Lufthansa's refreshed A380 First Class. Then, Lufthansa changed the aircraft. Needless to say, we were disappointed. But instead of cancelling our plans, we decided to document the journey anyway and see whether Lufthansa First Class is still worth the experience without the A380.
