What if Marvel built its own version of The Boys?
In this full alternate-universe pitch, one company owns every hero on Earth. Roxxon - Marvel's oldest corporate villain - finally won. Its heroes are products, its rescues are marketing, and even the villains on the evening news are hired.
Tony Stark doesn't own a single bolt of the armor he's famous for - he leases it, and James Rhodes has secretly been flying it by remote the whole time. Until Whiplash cuts the link in front of eighty thousand people.
The Hulk is a pay-per-view event. Twice a year, Bruce Banner signs the dates and walks into a steel room so Roxxon can sell tickets to his rage. Then the Abomination climbs into the stands - and the Hulk sits down.
And Peter Parker is the only hero on Earth nobody could afford. No contract, no sponsor, no costume department. So Roxxon sends its head of visual effects, Quentin Beck, to make the city believe Spider-Man is the villain.
Which hero should get the Roxxon treatment in Part Two - Captain America, Daredevil, the Punisher or Thor? Tell me in the comments, and subscribe for more alternate-universe comic pitches.
