When I first heard MaimyMayo's lyric video of her take on Dark Sanctuary I was immediately inspired to make my own rendition on this tune. (go check her out if you haven't, she's amazing) I used her lyrics for the first verse, the "it can see you" section (refrain, I guess), and the incredible line "maybe you will finally know yourself," because I feel her writing is so strong there that I'm just so used to hearing those lyrics as canon in the Toby Fox Song Book. Now, I didn't use her lyrics for the chorus because I want to respect the beautiful melody that's there, so I wrote my own lyrics. And, just to be clear, I wrote the lyrics for the chorus, the second verse, and the ending. The reason this might be my favorite arrangement I've done is because the end section made me tear up a bit while writing the arrangement and lyrics for it. "Let the light guide you the path, the darkness it shrouds the hope that you hold. Wept the fallen star, a river written in stone... "I'm with you in the dark"" Toby is no doubt, one of my favorite songwriters ever, and for him to make me be inspired and come up with those lyrics from his breathtaking melodies in this song made me very emotional. P.S. yes I'll be using Kasane Teto from now on, on songs that I think deserves to have lyrics and them to emphasize the emotions of that song :) #deltarune #undertale #tobyfox
