First time I have been to North Sheen Station and also the first time filming on South Western Railway as well. Also included for the first time the titles in the left corner the train numbers and route of service plus voice announcements by Phil sayer who passed away on April 14th 2016 (Age 62) 1. The Train I got off is a 8 car Class 455 departing Platform 2 bound for Wimbledon via Richmond which later will proceed on a circular service via Clapham Junction back to London Waterloo. 2. A 10 Car Class 458 speeds by Platform 1 on a service from Windsor & Eton Riverside bound for Waterloo with it's next stop at Putney. 3. A 5 car Class 707 departs Platform 1 on a service from Hounslow via Richmond with it's next stop at Mortlake before calling all stations to Waterloo. 4 and 5. A 5 car 707 arrives on Platform 2 on a service to Chiswick via Richmond and Brentford Then it departs with next stop at Richmond. 6. A 10 car Class 458 speeds by Platform 2 with it's next stop at Richmond before proceeding on a service to Windsor Eton & Riverside. 7. Speeding by Platform 1 another 10 car Class 458 however this time on a service from Reading - Waterloo having called at Richmond and running non stop until Clapham Junction. 8. A 8 Class 455 arrives on Platform 1 on a service from Wimbledon via Strawberry Hill. Then after departing it will call at all stations to Waterloo with next at Mortlake. North Sheen was opened by the Southern Railway on October 1st 1930. The station layout is unusual with an island platform and no ticket gates and originally had a two sided footbridge which was reduced to one although there have been plans to bring back the 2nd entrance from the footbridge. In doing so the station entrance off Manor Road located next to the level crossing have had proposals to be replaced by a road bridge however so far nothing has been proceeded. The days for the Class 455s and 458s on South Western are numbered as well as the recently introduced Class 707s built by Siemens which along with the Class 456s are due to be replaced within the next few years by new Class 701 Aventras which will be built by Bombardier. Although their futures in service to be used on other routes are unknown at the time of filming. The Weather on the day of filming was bright, cold and very windy. Apologies for some of the heavy breathing in some of the video because it was freezing. Filmed on Saturday February 24th 2018 on iPhone 6S and edited on iMovie
