As the icy fog rolls in, the trail turns into a near-vertical rock wall requiring hands-and-feet scrambling. By sunrise, violent winds whip moisture across the ridge, creating a breathtaking "cloud waterfall" over the Dragon’s Tail. From there, the narrowest path squeezes down to less than a meter wide, flanked by sheer cliffs on both sides. Crossing the Dragon’s Body, white quartz rocks jut out like razor-sharp scales, leading us to three terrifying scree slopes. Moving like ants across giant scales, we pack away our trekking poles and take every step with extreme caution. Yet, as we approach the Dragon’s Head, the brutal landscape yields to gentle grassy slopes blooming with wild azaleas.
