A video of the BIL ship travelling from Beira (Mozambique) to London in 1960 (I think very early in the year). She is recorded as stopping at Nacala, dar as Salaam, Zanzibar, Mombasa, Aden, Gibralta, as part of her regular East Africa route. The SS Kenya was built by the British India Steam Navigation Co., and entered service in August 1951. She travelled between Britain and East Africa via the Suez Canal. Built by Barclay Curle & Co, Glasgow, Scotland with a GRT of 14464 and could carry 194 First and 103 Tourist passengers. I think she was scrapped in 1969. Footage scanned from 16mm colour amateur film, which sadly had no credits or identifying information.
