Turn an STL mesh into a real, editable solid in Fusion 360 — no mesh-to-solid conversion, and no tracing jagged section sketches by hand.
The workflow: slice the STL into cross-sections with Cutaway (a free browser tool), fit those sections into clean arcs and lines, then import everything into Fusion 360 with a free Fusion 360 add-in, every sketch lands on the exact plane where it was cut, ready to extrude, revolve or sweep. At the end I overlay the original mesh on the finished solid to verify the rebuild, and catch a real mistake.
Everything shown also works with Fusion 360 for Personal Use (the free version).

Who this is for: 3D-printing folks, makers, and engineers who have an STL, downloaded, scanned, or a part whose source file is long gone, and want a clean, parametric CAD model they can actually modify.
