BMW Berlin Marathon 2026 | My Full Race Experience

I traveled from Tokyo to Germany to run one of the races I had wanted to experience most — the BMW Berlin Marathon. This video follows the full journey: flying from Tokyo via Warsaw, exploring Berlin, picking up my bib at the Expo, race morning, and finally running 42.195 km through the streets of Berlin. For the first 30 km, everything felt surprisingly good. My pace was steady, I was enjoying the crowds and the historic city, and for a moment I even thought a personal best might be possible. Then came kilometer 35. My left hamstring cramped, my legs stopped cooperating, and the final kilometers became a battle of running, walking, and simply trying to keep moving. But then Brandenburg Gate appeared ahead. That moment alone made all the difficult kilometers worth it. Finish time: 3:56:23. Berlin was one of the World Marathon Majors I most wanted to run.
