Cilla Black, Petula Clark & Lulu (1966) • Swinging London Soul | Classic 60s Soul Ladies • Inspired

✨ From the archive — a softly worn 1966 sleeve from Swinging London, still carrying perfume, cigarette smoke, and the hush before the needle drops. This collection is inspired by Cilla Black - Petula Clark - Lulu and the golden era of soul — bright, bold voices framed by tight rhythm sections, punchy horns, and velvet strings, cut with that mid-60s studio glow where every clap, tambourine shake, and echoed vocal feels right up close. Liner notes: “Love is a Ruined Dream” opens the door like a late-night confession, then “The Way I Feel” steadies the pulse with a dancer’s resolve. By the time “Someone With a Soul” arrives, the heart’s on the outside—until “Goodness Me (I’m Lost In You Darling)” turns it all into a dizzy, swinging smile. For fans of: late-night heartbreak / orchestral pop-soul sparkle / Mod-era dancefloor stomp / smoky confession ballads 📀 Tracklist 0:00 - Love is a Ruined Dream 3:58 - The Way I Feel 7:38 - The Vessel I Steer 10:45 - My Melody for You 13:53 - Someone With a Soul 17:36 - Thump Tick-a-Tick 20:23 - Inner Monologues 23:21 - Goodness Me (I'm Lost In You Darling) 26:37 - Paint My Days 29:44 - Reserved for You 33:19 - Loop Album Subscribe to Old Gold Records to keep these classic soul ladies and their golden stories alive. ✨ Keep the gold spinning.
