🎃 7 Squash Picks for 2023 plus 4 honourable mentions

I've gone through all my packs of squash, pumpkin, and gourd seeds, combed through the seed catalogues and chosen what I will grow in 2023. I garden in a short season Northern prairie climate and I need plants that can grow well and mature in my area. I also want squash that is tasty and decorative. Many varieties of squash are vining and I need to consider if I will let them sprawl across the ground or grow them on trellises. I also need to chose a variety of summer and winter squash so that I can enjoy eating them for most of the year.
