Making a "puuko"-inspired style knife from a small bearing with a hybrid half-half leather and wood sheath. There are very few examples of such a sheath so I wanted to film making one. I used a platanus tree branch from a nearby park for the handle and the sheath and beads, And leather for the upper sheath part. In this video I am using my new "hammer head anvil" for the first time (worked great by the way). As always - minimal tools and no professional equipment, Maximum fun. Materials: high carbon bearing steel 52100 dry platanus wood 2 mm thick leather Slow epoxy glue Wood finish: boiled leenseed oil Bees wax for the leather
