The Fastest Way to Improve Your English: Stop Studying It!

I didn't become fluent by studying English. I became fluent by studying childcare — in English, badly, while I was still translating half of it in my head. 💛 Here's the problem with treating English as a subject: it has no finish line. There's always another tense, another thousand words. You never arrive — and motivation doesn't survive that. Worse, you end up polishing a tool you never actually pick up. This video is for English learners who feel stuck after years of studying — and for teachers looking for a genuinely different way to frame it for their students. In this video: why using English to learn something else works so much better, how to choose your subject, and the small daily version you can start tomorrow morning — journalling. 📌 THE JOURNAL METHOD — screenshot this 1. Write a few lines about your actual day, in English. Be basic. "Today I woke up late. I was tired. The weather is horrible again." 2. When a word is missing, write it in your own language, in brackets — and keep going. Don't stop to translate. 3. At the end, look up the two or three words you marked. Write them at the bottom. 4. Tomorrow, use them. After a month your journal is a vocabulary list where every single word came from your own life. Nobody chose them for you. 📌 HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SUBJECT Pick something you'd want to learn even if English wasn't involved. Morning routines, psychology, baking, money, your profession. Swap your workout for an English-speaking trainer.
