Another Side of Nikko | Staying in a Rural Onsen Town in Japan

For the last leg of my summer trip, I wanted to slow things down and spend a few days surrounded by nature, mountains and onsen. I headed to Yunishigawa Onsen, a small hot spring town tucked away in the mountains of Tochigi, just outside the main Nikko area. The town is known for its long history, traditional mountain culture and the Yunishigawa River that runs through the valley.
