I simply grabbed my camera, pressed record, and spoke ''German for more than 8 minutes'' without a script.
During the video, I share my thoughts on the criticism I've received over the years, why some people call me a "fake polyglot," and why I no longer want to be associated with the online polyglot community.
I also explain my philosophy about language learning and why I believe it's about much more than speaking multiple languages. Through learning languages, I've discovered lessons about discipline, consistency, patience, and personal growth that can be applied to any difficult goal in life.
Whether your challenge is medicine, sports, music, business, programming, or something completely different, I hope my journey encourages you to find your own difficult path and keep pursuing it.
I also talk about why, in my opinion, **German is the most difficult European language I'm currently studying**, and some of the challenges I've faced while learning it.
⚠️ A quick note about my German:
This video is 'NOT meant to prove fluency. I made grammar mistakes, pronunciation mistakes, vocabulary mistakes, and unnatural sentence constructions throughout the recording. I know I still have a lot to improve, and that's exactly why I wanted to upload it.
This is simply a real practice session. I believe the best way to improve is by speaking the language regularly, accepting mistakes as part of the process, and continuing anyway.
I'm not trying to impress anyone or claim perfection. I'm documenting my journey honestly, including the imperfections, because I believe that's where real progress happens.
If you're a German speaker or you're learning German yourself, feel free to correct my mistakes in the comments. Constructive feedback is always welcome.
