A simple crochet table runner with a beautiful Moss Stitch texture and an easy, continuous construction. MAKE IT THE SIZE YOU NEED My finished runner measures 115 × 30 cm (45.3 × 11.8 in), excluding tassels, but you can adjust the dimensions to suit your own table or space. To estimate your starting chain: Desired finished length − desired finished width ≈ starting chain length For my sample, 115 − 30 = 85 cm, so I started with a chain approximately 85 cm long (180 chains). This is an estimate, not an exact measurement. After working the first row along both sides of the foundation chain, check the width of your fabric and adjust your plan to suit your yarn and tension. WHY IS THIS PROJECT EASY TO FOLLOW? The runner grows around four corners. In each corner space, work 1 single crochet, chain 2, 1 single crochet. This same combination continues throughout the main construction, giving you clear visual markers to follow. Once you recognize the corners, you can work intuitively without constantly counting stitches or rows.
