5. Rise Up!

[Verse 1] By Bethesda’s stones he lay Forty years in one long wait Watched the water move and breathe Still his body would not leave Every face went drifting by Hope kept sinking in his eyes He had no one to his name Just a mat and all that shame [Pre-Chorus] Then Jesus came Right by his side He saw the man He heard the cry Grace spoke first Before the rain One word from Him And life came back again [Chorus] Rise up, rise up Jesus called his name (rise up) Rise up, rise up Nothing stayed the same He spoke, and mercy came He spoke, and healing came (Rise up, rise up) [Verse 2] Jesus asked him, “Do you want more?” Not just water, something sure He said, “I can’t get there fast” Like his whole life had come and passed But Jesus looked past every year Past the waiting, past the tears Then He said, “Get up and go” And dead bones learned to know [Pre-Chorus] Then Jesus came Right by his side He saw the man He heard the cry Grace spoke first Before the rain One word from Him And life came back again [Chorus] Rise up, rise up Jesus called his name (rise up) Rise up, rise up Nothing stayed the same He spoke, and mercy came He spoke, and healing came (Rise up, rise up) [Bridge] At the edge where losses stay Jesus turned his wait to praise What looked lost was never too far What looked gone was in His heart He still reaches, still can heal Still commands what’s broken still The One who touched that weary man Still moves with mercy in His hands [Chorus] Rise up, rise up Jesus called his name (rise up) Rise up, rise up Nothing stayed the same He spoke, and mercy came He spoke, and healing came (Rise up, rise up) [Outro] By Bethesda’s broken shore He is mercy evermore Still He calls and still He saves Still He raises up the lame #worshipmusic #trapworship #worshiprap #trapgospel2026 #gospelmusic
