Her Wingmates Sang Her Dead and Flew Away. A Human Shepherd Carried Her 8 Miles ANYWAY | HFY

Her own flight sang her dead and left her broken-winged on a hill for the scavengers, and this HFY story begins the moment one stubborn human refuses to walk away. Vael was taught that aliens should never trust humans, that they are soft, sentimental and useless in a war, until a night siege in a turf-roofed hut, eight miles of hostile moor and a Zemmar hunter on her trail show her what human stubbornness really costs. A hard, warm sci-fi survival story about a three-legged dog, a shepherd with a lambing kit, and the old hill-farm rule that nothing gets left on the hill. #HFY #HFYStories #MilitarySciFi #SciFiAudiobook #SciFi
