As of the latest available updates, the most significant development in the Intezar Ahmed murder case occurred on October 14, 2022, when the Sindh High Court (SHC) acquitted six Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) officials and commuted the death sentences of two police constables, Bilal Rasheed and Mohammad Daniyal, to life imprisonment. The SHC ruled that the case did not fall under the Anti-Terrorism Act, leading to the removal of terrorism charges.
