How do you respond when something feels difficult or uncomfortable? Do you face it, or are you more inclined to avoid it and hope it goes away?
In this episode of _The Purposeful Shift_, I reflect on two recent experiences: a swimming session with a friend and a conversation with an inspiring podcast guest that made me question how I think about my own ability to cope with difficult situations.
I talk about my tendency to avoid confrontation, the things I've already managed to get through in my own life, and why wanting to escape a difficult situation doesn't necessarily mean we're incapable of dealing with it.
I'd love to know whether any of this resonates with you, particularly if you've ever surprised yourself with how you've coped when life has been difficult.
