Outback 5km Women's Race - Film 2

The women are seen at the finish line after a blustery out-and-back 5km on Douglas Promenade walkway. Niamh Bridson Hubbard took the victory in a very good time of 16:51, and clinched the women's title on her debut at the Festival. It all depended on the outcome of her battle with Rebecca Flaherty (Oxford) in this morning's race, and it was Niamh who pulled well clear in the latter stages to win from Rebecca by a margin of 26 seconds. Milly Dickinson (Cambridge) took her first podium place of the weekend in third, and in fourth was Beth Ansell (Manchester) who clinched overall third place. In fifth was Beth Rawlinson (Oxford), sixth was Festival regular Katie Lowery (Leeds), seventh Charlotte Burton (Edinburgh) who was the leading U20, eighth was the leading Vet 35 Katherine Fitzpatrick (Manchester), ninth was Ella Davey (Oxford) and tenth was Ceri Griffiths (Edinburgh). The leading local with another fantastic run was Vet 55 athlete Joanne Schade (Western AC) in 36th place in yet another pb time of 19:43.
