Vintage 1976 Eureka ESP 4050B Wide Track Upright Vacuum Cleaner

I found this with a Hoover Convertible (   • Vintage Hoover Convertible (U4193) Upright...  ) at a house to which I originally went just to buy a 16" Wizard (McGraw-Edison) Breeze Box fan. As I was buying it, the person who was with me spotted this Eureka and the Hoover in the corner of the garage. I also got a nice set of speakers, but those will not be on this channel. I definitely did not expect this small Craigslist deal to fill my car. When I got this Eureka, it had a homemade bag system that was taken from a Hoover Concept One. I removed that and put the bag from my Eureka 1424B (which I do still have) on this Eureka. The motor could stand to be disassembled and fully serviced, but it was okay to run for this video. I have been so busy recently that I have not been able to do as much as I would like with these personal units that I am not selling. I have never seen a Eureka quite like this one. I was not aware that they used the ESP (Extra Suction Power) advertising as early as 1976, but the date stamp does say 76. For its age, it is a very high-performance unit. It has about the same motor as the two in my Sanitaire Wide Track II (   • Vintage Sanitaire Wide Track II Commercial...  ). This has to be one of my favorite Eureka/Sanitaire machines in my collection. This is also my first standard Wide Track model. I have to say that I like the design. Even though it is just four extra inches when compared to the standard models, that extra four inches per pass does noticeably cut the cleaning time.
