"Powerfully Proclaimed" Nehemiah 8:1 -12

Others have cravings for events or hobbies--like golf, camping, reading a good book that you just can't get enough of. But have you ever craved the Word of God? As we join Nehemiah, chapter 8 begins with a request from the people to Ezra, the priest. I find it fascinating that just after affirming their God-given identity as the chosen people of God, their first craving was fo r the Word of God. Which leaves us with a powerful question--do we crave the proclamation of God's word with the same passion?
